UCL: Cole Palmer dropped from Chelsea squad to play Atalanta

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has excluded Cole Palmer from his squad that travelled to play Atalanta in their Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Palmer’s minutes are being managed by the club following his recent return from injury.

The England midfielder started the 0-0 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend.

But he will not be available when the Blues take on Atalanta in Bergamo.

Both Chelsea and Atalanta have recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat, ensuring they have 10 points after five fixtures.

Chelsea are in seventh place, with Sporting CP and Manchester City sitting between them and Atalanta as things stand.

Palmer is still in line to face Everton in the league over the weekend.
