EPL: ‘Manchester City not consistent’ – Pep Guardiola
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that his team is not consistent enough to be considered title contenders.
Guardiola believes that league leaders, Arsenal remain the most consistent side.
Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday reduced their lead at the top to just two points with Manchester City beating Sunderland 3-0.
It was Arsenal’s second defeat of the season in the Premier League.
Following Manchester City’s win over Sunderland, Guardiola said that his side needs to be more consistent in getting results, insisting that experience has taught that that is the only way to win the Premier League.
Guardiola told reporters, “…I have experience of winning the Premier League titles, it’s to be consistent.
“It’s the consistency of how much you perform, how much you grow during the year.
“We’ve had good moments but always in the second half… we are not consistent for 90 minutes.”
Manchester City will play Real Madrid in the Champions League midweek.
