BMU warns the candidates and the public against fake admission letter

The management of Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has issued an alert to the public regarding the circulation of a fake admission letter and a fraudulent “requirements/procedures” document currently being shared online.

According to the University, no admission letters have been issued outside the official JAMB/CAPS platform, and at no time did BMU request payments into personal accounts for acceptance fees, hostel allocation, or any admission-related processes.

The institution has urged prospective students, parents, and the general public to disregard such documents and report any suspicious messages or payment demands through BMU’s official communication channels.

BMU emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its admission process and warned applicants to remain vigilant against scams. The public is advised to verify all admission information exclusively through the University’s official website and social media pages.
