Akwa Ibom College of Nursing Sciences announces upward review of fees
The management of the Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences has announced an upward review of fees for all returning students, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session. This update was contained in an official notice signed by the Registrar, Philip I. Eduok.
According to the notice, the examination fee previously paid by hand during examination periods has now been merged with the school fees. This means students will no longer be required to pay examination fees separately after completing their school fees. The institution explained that the adjustment will support the production of customized examination answer booklets, aimed at ensuring uniformity and reducing the use of foolscap sheets. The move is also expected to help curb examination malpractice and promote administrative orderliness.
To make payment easier and more flexible, management has approved that students may choose to pay their fees either in full or on a semester basis. All payments must be made through the newly introduced fee portal, while tuition and accommodation fees continue to be paid through AKSIGR.
The fee portal will remain open from December 1st to December 15th, 2025. Students who fail to make payment within this period will be required to pay a late registration fee of ₦20,000. Those previously advised to withhold payments until further notice are also expected to comply with the updated directive.
The approved fees for the new session are summarized as follows:
For tuition, indigene students are to pay ₦30,000 each for ND1 and ND2, while non-indigenes will pay ₦50,000 for both levels. For accommodation, indigenes are required to pay ₦20,000, while non-indigenes will pay ₦50,000, depending on availability.
For ND1 (new intake), indigene students will pay ₦140,000 for the first semester and ₦80,750 for the second semester, making a total of ₦220,750. Non-indigene ND1 students will pay ₦150,000 in the first semester and ₦100,750 in the second semester, totaling ₦250,750.
