BUK announces prohibition of unapproved students' activities on campus
The Deanery of Student Affairs at Bayero University, Kano, has issued a stern warning to all student associations regarding the rising number of unapproved events and activities on campus.
In an official memo signed by the Dean, Prof. Mukhtar Ridwanu Bunza, the university expressed concern over students and associations organizing activities without following the required procedures or obtaining authorization from the Deanery.
According to the memo, all students and duly registered associations are strictly prohibited from holding any event without prior approval. The Deanery emphasized that any association or individual found involved in such unapproved activities risks having their registration cancelled and may face disciplinary action.
The notice further urged students to comply fully with university rules and regulations. Prof. Bunza assured that the Student Affairs office is ready to assist and approve any activity that aligns with the university’s regulations, adding that meaningful suggestions to enhance student impact will be welcomed.
Associations yet to register with the Student Affairs Division were also advised to submit their applications promptly, as the Deanery remains committed to supporting compliant and duly recognized student bodies.
The memo underscores the university’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring that all campus activities follow established procedures.
