YABATECH SUG issues update on newly released academic calendar

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Yaba College of Technology has released an official statement acknowledging the publication of the long-awaited academic calendar by the institution’s management.

According to the released schedule, Students’ Week is set to hold from December 8th–12th, while Practical Examinations will follow from December 15th–19th. The Second Semester Examinations are expected to commence on January 5th.

The SUG noted that it immediately engaged the school management after reviewing the timetable, citing concerns raised by students regarding the inconvenience of placing key academic activities close to the festive period. Despite these engagements, the Union reported that no adjustments have been approved so far.

The Union assured students that it remains committed to pushing for a more favourable and student-friendly calendar. Discussions with management are still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the SUG encouraged all students to remain calm, stay updated, and prepare adequately for the upcoming academic activities. Further updates will be communicated through official Students’ Union channels.
