The Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, has announced the institution’s 14th Professorial Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 9th December 2025.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Cyril Gwazah Afuwai, FNIP, a distinguished scholar with BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU).

The lecture, titled “From the Earth’s Surface to the Inner Core; From Ohm’s Law to Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation: Geophysics Providing Solutions for Resource Discovery and Sustainable Development,” will explore how geophysics contributes to resource discovery and sustainable development.

The event will take place at the 1000-Seater Capacity Lecture Theatre of the university by 10:00 a.m.
