Police recover tricycle, 2 locally fabricated double-barrel guns, others in Delta

Surveillance Operatives of “B” Division in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State led by CSP Josephine Ekebuike on patrol along Arubayi Street by Polokor Market have recovered a tricycle with two(2)locally fabricated double-bareel guns.

Also recovered are nine(9)assorted mobile phones, four(4)power banks and a screw driver.

The Police recovered the items on 16th November, 2025, at about 0930hrs,WAPLOADED can report.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer,SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement on Tuesday.

The Police Image maker said the surveillance Operatives were on patrol when they observed a tricyclist conveying two passengers and riding aggressively against traffic at high speed.

According to him,”The suspicious behaviour immediately prompted the operatives to engage in a pursuit.

“The chase continued into First Marine Quarters, where the rider and passengers abruptly abandoned the tricycle and fled through adjoining streets.”

He noted that,”The operatives recovered the tricycle and conducted a thorough search, which led to the discovery of two (2) locally fabricated double-barrel guns.

“Other items recovered at the scene included: Nine (9) assorted mobile phones, four (4) power banks, and a screwdriver.”

SP Edafe said,”The entire area has since been cordoned off, with intensified stop-and-search operations ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects.”
