The University of Jos (UNIJOS), through its Directorate of Academic Planning and Management, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session for undergraduate students.

According to the document, online registration for new students will begin on Monday, November 17, 2025, while returning students are expected to resume registration from Monday, November 24, 2025. Lectures for the first semester will commence on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Late registration starts on Monday, December 8, 2025, and ends on Friday, December 12, 2025. The institution will observe the Christmas break from Monday, December 22, 2025, to Friday, January 2, 2026, after which lectures will continue on Monday, January 5, 2026. Matriculation of new students is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026.

First-semester examinations will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, and end on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Submission of results is expected between Monday, March 30, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, while the semester officially concludes on Friday, May 8, 2026.

The second semester is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 20, 2026, with lectures running until Saturday, July 11, 2026. Second-semester examinations will hold from Monday, July 13 to Saturday, August 1, 2026, followed by result compilation from Monday, August 3 to Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Academic staff leave is fixed for Monday, August 24 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, and industrial attachment ends on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The calendar also indicates that lectures for the 2026/2027 academic session will commence on Monday, October 5, 2026.
