UNILAG screening and registration schedule and process for new students, 2025/2026
The University of Lagos warmly welcomes and congratulates you on your admission into the University of Lagos, the University of First Choice and the nation’s pride. The University wishes you success in your academic career. It is also important to note that the 2025/2026 Screening/Registration Exercise will be Faculty Based.
All newly admitted UTME and DIRECT ENTRY candidates are requested to report to their respective faculties for registration from Monday, 17th November to Friday, 28th November, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The required documents and the procedures detailing the registration process are as indicated below.
STAGE 1: TOXICOLOGY SCREENING
It is mandatory for all candidates who have been offered admission to make payment for the Toxicology test and visit the designated venue for the Toxicology test. Candidates who are successful in the test are to come along with a copy of the Toxicology test result for registration.
STAGE 2: REGISTRATION SCHEDULE/APPOINTMENT
Candidates who have successfully completed the toxicology test should click on the link below and follow the step-by-step procedures indicated to book their preferred registration date, starting from Friday, November 14, 2025.

Log in with your JAMB Number/Application Number as the Username, and your surname in lowercase as the Password.
Once logged in, you will be required to change your password from the default (surname).
On your student portal, under the menu bar on the left-hand side, click on “Appointment.”
Click on “New Appointment.”
Select the appointment applicable to your Faculty.
Select the session.
Click on “Schedule Appointment.
You will receive a message on your portal indicating “Successful.” Print your Appointment/Booking Slip from the portal and present it at the screening/registration venue.
NOTE: It is compulsory for all candidates to present their Appointment/Booking Slip at the screening/registration venue.
In addition, candidates admitted into the underlisted programmes are advised to take note of the Faculty of domicile of their respective programmes. This information is essential for completing the Registration Appointment Booking online.

STAGE 3: UPLOADING OF DOCUMENTS
Log in to the UNILAG Student Portal at http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng/
Use your UTME Number/Application Number as the Username, and your Surname in lowercase as the Password. Complete the Bio-data Form and print the Screening Form. Candidates are required to upload the following original documents while completing the Bio-data Form:
JAMB Admission Letter
O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the Certificate
Testimonial from Secondary School attended
Previous Degree Certificate (for DIRECT Entry candidates only)
Birth Certificate
Letter of Reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant, addressed to The Registrar, University of Lagos O’Level Result
State of Origin Certificate
STAGE 4: SCREENING
A. Proceed to the registration venue at your Faculty on the date indicated on your booking slip.
B. Submit two copies of the under listed documents to the registration officer

Screening Form generated from stage 1 (Coloured and photocopy)
UNILAG Online application form (for DIRECT Entry candidates only) (Coloured and photocopy)
JAMB Acknowledgement Slip (for DIRECT Entry candidates only) (Coloured and photocopy)
JAMB Admission Letter (Institution Copy – Coloured and photocopy)
UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy)
POST-UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy)
JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. RESULT SLIP (for DIRECT Entry candidates only)
O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the Certificate
Letter of Reference (original copy) from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant (on Letterhead paper, indicate status in Office, Lawyers to use the Valid NBA Seal [NOT THE RED SEAL]), addressed to The Registrar, University of Lagos
Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Photocopies)
Testimonial from Secondary School attended (Photocopies)
State of Origin Certificate (Photocopies). Note: This must be the same state you registered with JAMB. Not Local Government Area or Local Government Development Authority (LCDA).
Passport Photographs (12 Copies). Write your full names at the reverse side
NOTE: YOU ARE TO PRESENT ORIGINAL COPIES OF YOUR CREDENTIALS FOR SIGHTING (BIRTH CERTIFICATE/SWORN AFFIDAVIT, TESTIMONIAL, STATE OF ORIGIN AND WAEC CERTIFICATE).
STAGE 5: PAYMENT OF FEES
A. Candidates are to generate the Payment Advice immediately after the completion of the registration process and issuance of clearance certificate.
B. Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay via the online platform.
STAGE 6: FACULTY/DEPARTMENTAL REGISTRATION
At the same venue, candidates should approach the Faculty/Department officials immediately after payment of the required fees in Stage 5 above to complete the remaining registration processes and documentation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The 2025/2026 Screening/Registration exercise will hold at the various Faculties on the main campus.
Impersonation is a serious offence, therefore anyone found guilty of this, will automatically forfeit his/her admission and may be handed over to the Police.
DRUG USE: The University has zero tolerance for drug use; hence, a compulsory test shall be conducted for all newly admitted students ONCE. This is strictly before registration. The admission of newly admitted students who test POSITIVE TO DRUG USE, as well as those who fail to undergo the test shall be WITHDRAWN.
The dates for the Matriculation ceremony and Orientation programme would be as announced by the University.
