JAMB extends deadline for 2025/2026 admissions in public universities
JAMB has extended the deadline for admissions into public universities for the 2025/2026 academic session. The new deadline is Monday, 17th November 2025.
This extension follows an appeal from the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU) due to disruptions caused by a court order that affected the 2025/26 admission list until 28th October 2025. Additionally, the National Universities Commission (NUC) released a list of 229 newly accredited programmes in 37 universities on 29th October 2025, and admissions into those programmes are just starting.
The Board emphasizes that this new deadline is final and must be strictly adhered to. This extension is to ensure fairness, inclusiveness, and proper completion of admissions into public universities.
All prospective students are advised to complete their admissions process on or before the new deadline. JAMB urges all stakeholders to take note of this development and make necessary arrangements.
