Ex-chairman of Crystal Palace, Simon Jordan, has tipped Arsenal to emerge as Premier League champions this season.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said Liverpool who won the title last campaign, have been struggling despite beefing up their squad.

Arsenal are currently six points clear at the top of the table.

Mikel Arteta’s team is also seven points ahead of Liverpool, who returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

“I think Arsenal will win the league this year,” Jordan said.

“I thought it would be Liverpool, with the strengthening of their squad in the summer.

“But I think they miss Luis Diaz and it has been difficult for me.

“If Arsenal can keep their momentum, they will win the league.”
