Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the 2025 CAF African Player of the Year Award.

The Nigerian striker earned the nomination after an impressive year with Napoli and the Super Eagles, where he showed outstanding form and goal-scoring consistency.

Osimhen helped Nigeria in their World Cup qualifying campaign and continued to perform strongly in Europe despite injury challenges.

He is set to compete with other African stars like Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi, and Vincent Aboubakar for the top honor.

This nomination adds to Osimhen’s growing achievements — he won the CAF Player of the Year in 2023 and remains one of Africa’s biggest football talents.

The winner will be announced at the CAF Awards Ceremony later this year.
