BBNaija 10: “Imisi’s Victory Not Influenced By Regional Bias”- Dede Ashiogwu
Big Brother Naija Season 10’s first runner-up, Dede Ashiogwu, has refuted claims that the outcome of the show was influenced by regional bias.
The “Ten Over Ten” edition came to an end on Sunday, with Imisi emerging as the winner and taking home the ₦150 million grand prize.
After the finale, Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, took to his official X page to allege that the results were manipulated. He claimed that Dede was unfairly denied victory because the organizers allegedly did not want another Delta State native to win after Kellyrae, also from Delta, took the title last season. Ossai further argued that Dede rightfully earned the win and even hinted at possible legal action, calling the outcome the result of “rigged voting.”
Responding to the allegations during the prize presentation ceremony on Tuesday at the MultiChoice office in Lagos, Dede dismissed the claims and stated that Imisi’s win was legitimate.
“I don’t think it had anything to do with regional favoritism. It all came down to votes she got the highest number and she won. She truly deserves it,” Dede said.
The Delta-born reality TV star also shared that she plans to explore opportunities in the entertainment and creative industries, especially acting.
“Expect everything amazing things you haven’t seen or imagined before. That’s what I’m bringing,” she added with confidence.
