Korean actress and influencer Yoon Ji-ah, in her 20s, was tragically murdered by a 50-year-old fan identified as Choi, just 30 minutes after ending a livestream on September 11. Her body was found in a suitcase abandoned in the mountains of Muju, North Jeolla Province.
Choi, a self-proclaimed IT CEO and big-spending fan known online as “Black Cat,” had reportedly spent over £53,000 on the platform where Ji-ah streamed. He allegedly lured her under the guise of a business deal to boost her followers.
CCTV footage captured Choi begging before Ji-ah a day before her death. Investigators believe his financial troubles and obsession led to the crime. Ji-ah was strangled to death, and Choi later confessed after initially denying the charges.
