The attention of the Management of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has been drawn to a publication currently circulating on social media regarding the resumption of the 2025/2026 Academic Session on Monday, 6th October, 2025.

The University Management wishes to categorically state that the said publication is false, misleading, and not authorized by the University.

Please note that the Rivers State University will continue to adhere strictly to its approved Academic Calendar and will inform all concerned about appropriate dates for resumption, vacation, and other academic activities only through the University's official channels.

The University therefore dissociates itself entirely from the false publication and urges all concerned to disregard it.
