Big Brother Naija star Mercy Eke has reacted to the global buzz over American rapper Cardi B’s pregnancy with NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Cardi B announced the news on CBS Mornings while promoting her upcoming sophomore album. The 32-year-old said she has not yet informed her parents because she is nervous about how they might respond.

Fans were surprised by the revelation, which comes only a few months after Cardi welcomed her third child with estranged husband Offset. The pair, still in the middle of divorce proceedings, share three children Kulture, Wave, and Blossom. Reports suggest Cardi and Diggs have been together for less than a year.

Taking to Snapchat, Mercy reflected on the zodiac sign she shares with Cardi, calling the pregnancy a sign of moving forward.

“One thing about a Libra, we’re deeply loving & endlessly patient. We endure the most, often apologising even when we’re right, not out of weakness, but out of love. We give countless chances, but once a Libra woman is truly fine, there’s no turning back,” she wrote.

In a follow-up, she added, “We all deserve true happiness.”
