The Office of the Registrar, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar outlines key academic activities for full-time, part-time, and SIWES students across the three semesters. Students are advised to take note of the dates and prepare accordingly for a smooth academic year.

First Semester 2025/2026
The first semester begins with the resumption and registration of all new students, both full-time and part-time, on 6th October 2025. Lectures for all returning and new students, excluding those on SIWES, will commence on 13th October 2025. The first continuous assessment test is scheduled to hold from 27th to 31st October 2025.

SIWES students are expected to resume and begin lectures on 10th November 2025. The second continuous assessment test will take place from 24th to 28th November 2025. The institution will observe the Christmas and New Year break from 22nd December 2025 to 5th January 2026.

Orientation for new students is scheduled from 12th to 14th January 2026, followed by matriculation on 15th January 2026. Lectures for all students will end on 16th February 2026. First semester examinations, both CBT and written, will be conducted from 17th February to 13th March 2026. The semester break will run from 16th to 27th March 2026, with the deadline for submission of scores set for 27th March 2026.

Second Semester 2025/2026
All students are expected to resume for the second semester on 30th March 2026, with lectures commencing the same day. The first continuous assessment test will be held from 20th to 24th April 2026, while the second test is scheduled for 19th to 22nd May 2026.

Lectures will conclude on 26th June 2026, and the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week will take place from 29th June to 3rd July 2026. Second semester examinations will be conducted from 6th to 24th July 2026. SIWES activities will begin on 17th August 2026. The deadline for submission of scores is 31st July 2026, and sessional and diploma results will be considered on 21st September 2026.

Third Semester 2025/2026 (Part-Time Students Only)
Part-time students will resume for the third semester on 17th August 2026, with lectures commencing immediately. Lectures will end on 2nd October 2026, and examinations will be held from 12th to 23rd October 2026. The deadline for submission of scores is 6th November 2026, while sessional and diploma results will be considered from 9th to 13th November 2026.
