Social media personality and self-acclaimed financial expert, Geh Geh, has criticized celebrity chef Hilda Baci over her recently concluded attempt to cook the world’s biggest pot of Jollof rice.

In a video, Geh Geh reacted to the massive turnout at the cookathon, claiming it reflected Nigeria’s poverty situation. He argued that Hilda Baci was devoting excessive attention, energy, and money to ventures that, according to him, added no real value to the country.

Geh Geh further alleged that the cookathon was being used as a distraction to shift the youth’s focus away from critical issues facing the nation.

“People were crying and queuing just to eat ordinary Jollof rice. You are giving so much attention, energy, and money to things that are not important to society. What is this Guinness Record contributing to Nigeria? This your record and BBNaija are the same thing, diverting the attention of the youth into things that aren’t really important,” he said.

Commenting on the food itself, Geh Geh rated Hilda’s Jollof as prioritizing volume over taste.

“And the rice is more about quantity over quality; it seems like they put rice instead of hot water,” he added.

He concluded by advising the celebrity chef to focus on initiatives that could make a meaningful impact on Nigerians’ lives rather than chasing world records.
