The University Management has noted with concern, the uncultured habits commonly known as "Sign-Out", a carnival like events organized by students to mark their graduation or last stay in the University. Management has also noted that such activities have been going on in the Campus recently.

It is in view of the above that I write to inform all students (graduating students in particular) that celebrating sign-out is unacceptable by Management and violate the university's rules and regulations. Management henceforth BAN the celebration of sign-out by all students of the University, irrespective of their level of studies.

Similarly, students are to note that such act of celebrations is also BAN in Institutions of Learning by both the Federal and State Governments, hence, the Modibbo Adama University, Yola cannot be an exception.

To this end, Management wishes to state categorically that any student(s) identified to be organizing or participating in sign-out celebration in whatever guise will doing so at his or her own peril. Note also that University Degrees are awarded based on students being found worthy in learning and character, and sign-out celebration is not a good character desirous of a graduate.

The University Security Office and the Department of State Security (DSS) have been notified of the BAN of sign-out celebrations for their further necessary action.
