Veteran Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has declared that he has no plans to ever quit music.
The 39-year-old artiste explained that he would prefer to be regarded as an “up-and-coming” act rather than bow out of the industry completely.
His statement came as a response to critics who accused him of chasing clout on social media.
Taking to his X handle, Terry G wrote:
“I don’t mind being called an upcoming artist. You only earn the title of legend when you retire and I will never retire. So, if you see me chasing clout, just allow me.”
Terry G was one of the pioneers of the Street-hop movement in the 2010s, making waves with hit tracks such as Free Madness, Sangalo, Akpako Master, and Run Mad.
He is currently staging a comeback with a new collaboration alongside Victony titled Tanko.
