Afrobeats superstar David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, continues to cement his status as one of Africa’s most influential entertainers.

On Monday, November 18, the Nigerian music sensation was honored with a private dinner hosted by Atlanta’s Mayor, Andre Dickens.

The occasion was particularly significant for Davido, who was born in Atlanta before relocating to Nigeria during his childhood years.

The dinner served as a prelude to his highly anticipated headline show at the State Farm Arena, bringing together select dignitaries, industry stakeholders, and some of Davido’s close associates to celebrate his cultural influence and growing legacy in the United States.

His State Farm Arena performance, slated for November 20, forms part of his ongoing worldwide tour, “TIMELESS 51VE ALIVE TOUR.”

Earlier in August, Davido tied the knot with his longtime partner, Chioma, in a lavish white wedding held in Miami. The ceremony attracted prominent guests, including Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, who jetted in directly from Iceland, where he had attended another event.

During the wedding, the singer paid tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi, by wearing custom-made cufflinks engraved with the little boy’s image. Davido proudly displayed the special accessory in a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, making the moment even more memorable.
