Inter Miami striker, Luis Suarez, has been handed a six-game ban.
The punishment was confirmed by the Leagues Cup disciplinary committee following a brawl between Miami and Seattle Sounders five days ago.
Suarez has been adjudged guilty of spitting at a Sounders staff member.
His team-mate, Sergio Busquets, got a two-match suspension for violent conduct, while Tomas Aviles was given a three-game ban also for violent conduct.
Meanwhile, Seattle assistant coach Steven Lenhart was slapped with a five-game ban for violent conduct.
However, these bans apply only to the Leagues Cup competition.
But it is believed that Major League Soccer, MLS, could hand out its own suspensions.
