Josephina Otabor’s late sister’s partner, Mr. Daniel Adebo, has broken his silence following the tragic death of Ruth, who lost her life after being struck by a Dangote truck.

Reality star Phyna had previously revealed that her sister Ruth was in a relationship and had a child with her partner, though they were never married. She also disclosed that Ruth left behind an eight-month-old baby, sparking questions about why her partner had remained quiet throughout the incident.

In a viral clip shared online, a social media user who claimed to have spoken with Daniel released his account of the situation. Adebo alleged that he was excluded from major decisions regarding Ruth’s condition, despite being the one financially responsible for her and their child.

He further stated that he had to request Phyna’s approval before being allowed to see Ruth in Lagos, where she was receiving medical attention. According to him, he had been solely handling Ruth’s expenses, including school fees and other financial responsibilities.

Mr Daniel said:

“The reason I didn’t respond when Phyna called me irresponsible is because of my woman. I don’t want her to wake up and see me involved in any drama. All I am after is her recuperation. I want to come to Lagos to be by her side, but they said I must take permission from Phyna. I have all the chats and messages I have been sending to her family. I went back to Auchi when she was taken to Lagos.”

“I have been the one paying her tuition for three years. It wasn’t until two months ago, when she was preparing for graduation, that Phyna sent her a gown and a wig. I have been the one taking care of her and even the son she had before I met her, and we also have a child together.”

“If I am lying, Ruth’s mother is my witness, unless they have influenced her to say otherwise. I challenge Phyna to post screenshots of any money she has sent Ruth in the last three years. If she has, I will bow my head in shame.”
