Nigerians have been left saddened following Phyna Otabor’s recent update about her sister Ruth’s health condition and her ongoing discussions with representatives of Dangote Group.

Ruth, who had only graduated a week earlier, was involved in an accident after being hit by a Dangote truck reportedly driven by an underage, unlicensed driver. The incident gained more attention when Phyna publicly called out the company owned by billionaire Aliko Dangote.

Tragically, it was confirmed that Ruth’s left leg had been amputated, with the possibility of losing her right leg as well. After finally seeing her sister in person, Phyna admitted that Ruth’s situation was far worse than she had initially described to the public.

During meetings with Dangote’s representatives, Phyna insisted that her sister must be flown abroad to receive proper medical treatment. While they initially agreed to her request, Ruth was first transferred to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos. The officials then asked Phyna to provide a detailed medical report, which she promptly submitted.

To her surprise, the representatives later stated they would instead seek further medical advice before making a decision, effectively backtracking on their earlier promise to send Ruth overseas. They also requested another report from Lagoon Hospital confirming that the facility could not manage Ruth’s case.

Phyna further disclosed that the Dangote official she had been in contact with has ignored her messages for more than 24 hours, raising her suspicions about the sincerity of their promises.

The reality star made a heartfelt appeal to Aliko Dangote, stressing that her sister’s life must not be put at risk.
