Singer Lojay has clarified his relationship with Folashade Adeleke, calling her his “best friend” and dismissing any romantic rumors.

Folashade, who is the daughter of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and cousin to Afrobeats star Davido, has recently been the focus of public speculation about a possible romance with Lojay.

Lojay emphasized that their connection is strictly platonic, describing Folashade as his “best friend” and revealing that they “just clicked” when they first met through Davido’s 30BG crew.

He also shared that he is not ready for a romantic relationship at the moment, choosing instead to focus on healing from past experiences and personal growth.

He said: “Fola is literally my best friend. From the very first day I met her, I just knew she was different.

“She’s the only woman in the 30BG crew, and she holds it down for everybody. Since then, we just clicked and have been good friends ever since.

“Unfortunately for me, I’m not ready for a relationship yet. Some people assume that means you’re messing around, but that’s not my reality. Sometimes, people genuinely need time to heal from past experiences, and that’s where I am right now.”
