Nollywood actor, Afeez Owo, has opened up about a major fight he once had with his wife, Mide Martins, which almost led to the collapse of their marriage in 2014.

In a recent interview on the YouTube podcast Behind The List, Afeez explained that although the issue was something they could have resolved privately, social media escalated it and made the situation worse.

“There was a time rumours spread that my wife and I had separated. In truth, that was the first and only serious fight we’ve ever had in our marriage. Thankfully, we reconciled and came back together. I admit I didn’t handle it well,” he said.

The actor further recalled how the misunderstanding pushed him to leave home in anger.

“I scattered things, and at some point, I even thought, is this how it’s going to end? Social media made it worse because it was something we should have resolved privately. Out of anger, I left and stayed in a hotel for two days, while she went online saying I had abandoned her and the kids. But by God’s grace, we overcame it.”
