Nollywood actress Adaeze Eluke has added her voice to the outrage sparked by a disturbing viral video showing the assault of a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State.

The footage, which surfaced online on Tuesday, August 19, captured the shocking moment armed men, allegedly members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group (popularly called Operation Udo Ga-Achi), invaded a lodge housing corps members and violently attacked some of them, including one identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor.

In the clip, Elohor was seen being beaten, stripped, and brutalized by the vigilantes, despite presenting her NYSC identification card to prove her status.

Eyewitness reports revealed that the assailants accused the corps members of engaging in internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo.” The attack continued even after the victims displayed their NYSC uniforms and valid IDs.

Aside from the physical abuse, the corps members were subjected to degrading verbal harassment and threats, with some comments suggesting possible sexual assault.

Reacting to the incident, Adaeze Eluke strongly condemned the barbaric act and expressed deep concern over the cruel treatment meted out to the victims.

Commenting on the video, she wrote:

“Totally Unacceptable.”
