Singer Niniola has opened up about the lasting pain of losing her father, retired Brigadier-General Simeon Apata, who was tragically m#rdered in 1995.

She revealed that she was in the house when the attack occurred and described herself as her father’s favorite child.

“I was my father’s favourite child. I was in the house that day when he was murdered in 1995. Till today, I have not gotten over it. I can never get over it. It wasn’t a good memory,” Niniola said.

The heartbreaking incident has stayed with her over the years, shaping her outlook and leaving a deep mark on her life. Despite the pain, Niniola continues to celebrate her father’s legacy through her music, carrying forward the resilience and strength he instilled in her.
