“I Lost ₦25m Deals, Nearly Lost My Marriage For Supporting Tinubu”- Foluke Daramola
Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has shared the difficulties she encountered for backing President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
In an interview with Behind The Fame TV, the actress revealed she lost two ambassadorship deals worth ₦10 million and ₦15 million due to her political stance. She also noted that her support for Tinubu almost cost her marriage.
She said: “The truth of the matter is, for me, the way I was in 2023 cannot be the way I will be in 2027. It can’t be because… I know what I lost without collecting a kobo, no matter how much is seen. I lost two ambassorial deals, one 10 million, one 15 million, because of the election, because of Obidient movement. I almost lost my marriage. I almost lost my marriage but the fundamental thing is that I voted my conscience and choice.”
Daramola-Salako served as the media assistant for the Performing Arts Directorate of the APC’s 2023 presidential campaign council in Lagos State.
Despite the backlash, she has remained loyal to Tinubu, describing him as a father figure who had been supportive of her on several occasions, including her wedding.
