Nigeria’s D’Tigers started their campaign at the 2025 FIBA Men’s AfroBasket on a winning note, courtesy of a 77-59 victory over Madagascar.

D’Tigers dominated the first quarter outscoring their opponent 18-14.

Madagascar fought back in the second quarter taking it 23-20.

Nigeria regained the lead at half time with a 38-37 points lead.

They extended their lead in the third quarter by nine points 55-46.

D’Tigers eventually won the game 77-59.

They will face Tunisia in their second Group B fixture.
