Nigerian woman Adejoke Lasisi has sparked conversation with her recent advice to fellow Nigerians, urging them to consider financial security when choosing a life partner.
Taking to her Facebook page on Thursday, August 7, Adejoke encouraged individuals to “marry for money.” The statement quickly attracted mixed reactions across social media.
Responding to the criticism, Adejoke clarified that her message was not directed at any particular gender. She emphasized that her advice applied equally to everyone, regardless of whether they are male or female.
“I said “marry for money if you have to” But why are some people ångry? Especially some men? Did I put gender there? Even men dey marry for money and connections nowadays. My post didn’t specify any gender,” she wrote.
