IAUE approved screening modalities and procedure for the 2025/2026 admission
The 2025/2026 screening exercise for admission will be conducted in a hybrid mode through the deployed Post-UTME/DE Screening System. Therefore, all candidates seeking admission into the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt are hereby invited to the University's Main Campus, Rumuolumeni, for O’level/A’level Certificate Verification, Data Screening, Score Ranking and Compulsory Biometric Validation Exercise.
The screening exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday, 18th August, 2025 and end on Tuesday, 26th August, 2025.
Venue : Information and Communications Technology Centre (ICTC), Rumuolumeni Campus, Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Time : 8 a.m Daily
The modalities will be as follows:
1. No further Post-UTME test is required. JAMB UTME will be used as a 100% score for all candidates. Direct Entry (DE) candidates will also be screened with their uploaded documents. DE candidates should ensure that their certificates are verified on the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Data System.
2. Candidates’ data provided through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), which has also been uploaded to the University portal, will be carefully screened for admission processing.
3. Candidates who did not rank well but scored high during the JAMB Unified
Tertiary Examination (UTME) will be notified of a change of course to enable the Admissions Unit process their admission. The ranking implies that
candidates must have the required UTME and O’level combinations as outlined in the JAMB Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) and meet the Departmental Cut-off point.
4. Candidates will receive screening invitation containing ‘screening date, venue and further requirements as a unique schedule on their email address. Kindly check your registered email for your schedule.
THE SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:
i. The Candidate is required in-person (for compulsory biometric verification).
ii. Candidate’s JAMB Result slip
iii. Candidate’s O’level result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
iv. Post-UTME Registration slip from the University portal
v. Print out of the invitation sent to the candidate’s e-mail address
vi. DE Candidate must present their A’level result (NCE, ND, NABTEB, JUPEB,
IJMB, NABTEB ANBC, NABTEB ANTC, HND/ND,1st Degree, IBN, Cambridge A’level, International GCE A-level.
After the Screening, DE candidates should ensure that their certificates are verified on the Nigerian Integrated Post- Secondary Data System.
vii. Candidates must be neatly and properly dressed and Hair well groomed.
viii. Ill-behaviour attracts automatic disqualification.
ACTION SOUGHT FOR ALL CANDIDATES:
1. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor their admission online on the JAMB portal to effect necessary changes that will be required.
The changes could include:
i. Candidates may be required to effect a change of course in the JAMB portal for a proper ranking within a given period.
ii. Candidates may also be required to make certain data corrections within a given period.
iii. Affected candidates will be notified through secure text message/email notification. The information must be confirmed on the University's social media pages and website. Candidates, parents, and guardians are advised to regularly visit the University website and social media pages for vital information. The University will not be responsible for any act of deception or scam on the candidates, parents, and guardians if the advice is not fully followed. It is believed that candidates used their personal phone numbers and active email addresses during the registration for the screening exercise, as no duplicate phone number or email is allowed by the University portal.
CANDIDATES WITH O’LEVEL/A’LEVEL AWAITING RESULT:
Candidates with O’level/A’level Awaiting result are advised to upload their results online as soon as they become available and visit the Admissions Unit immediately for physical screening. Therefore, candidates with awaiting results should not entertain fear but should follow the given directive by uploading their results and visiting the Admissions Unit for physical screening. Direct-entry candidates should ensure that their A’level results are also verified on the Nigerian Post-Secondary Data System (NIPEDS).
