“Don’t Board Korope With Conductors”- Singer Small Doctor Cautions Nigerians
Nigerian indigenous singer, Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, has sparked reactions online after issuing a safety warning to public transport users regarding mini-buses, locally called Korope.
The Fuji and Afro-pop star, in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, urged commuters to avoid boarding mini-buses that have conductors. According to him, most of these vehicles are suspicious and could pose a safety risk.
He wrote:
“If you come across a mini-bus (Korope) with a conductor, please do not board. Do not board. Do not board. 90% of them have another agenda. Be vigilant.”
Small Doctor, who gained nationwide recognition with his hit single Penalty which earned him the Best Street Hop award at the 2018 Headies hails from Ondo State but was born and raised in the Dopemu area of Agege, Lagos State.
His public safety advice has generated widespread attention, with many social media users sharing their thoughts on commuter safety in Lagos.
