The Bridge Scholarship aims to provide intelligent but indigent students in Africa with access to quality education irrespective of their socio-economic limitations. Our approach is holistic and humane.

The scholarship covers: educational expenses, mentorship, career and leadership development. The scholarship is offered annually and once awarded; the scholar is supported until graduation.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to apply for the Bridge Scholarship, applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be fully enrolled in a public university in Nigeria.

• Must currently be between Year 1 and the penultimate year of the respective degree program.

• Experience critical financial need.

• Exhibit a strong commitment to complete the Bachelor’s degree.

• Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0/4.0  or  3.5/5.0.

• Show integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversities.

• Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

Application closes: September 12th, 2025 at 11:59 PM WAT.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. A valid means of identification with photograph ( Eg: NIN, Voter's card, etc) 

2. University admission letter (Either the one issued by JAMB or the University)

3. Personal statement - (500 words max.) Write about an adversity that has challenged your educational success and how you have either overcome it or succumbed to it. Include name and contact details of two people who can verify your story.  

4. JAMB result  - For Year 1 ONLY

5. WAEC or NECO Result -  For Year 1 ONLY

6. Current university academic record / transcript - showing overall CGPA. (OPTIONAL for Year 1  but MANDATORY for others)

7. For MEDICAL STUDENTS, your Item 6 above should include results of all MBBS exams written so far.

8. A Letter of identification and academic standing from your Head of Department (Must be signed and stamped on the University's official letter head)

9. TWO (2) signed Recommendation letters  (Each letter is limited to 1 page max.). Include the name and contact details of referees.

10. Curriculum Vitae 

11. Proof of leadership  (If available)  : In a one page document, list all past and present leadership positions (title and responsibilities) held. Include name and contact details of two people who can verify the positions listed.
