Tribbs, born Mikołaj Maciej Trybulec, is a Polish music producer, composer, songwriter, arranger, bassist, performer and DJ whose inventive approach to electronic dance music began attracting attention in 2021.

His reinterpretation of Budka Suflera’s “Bal wszystkich świętych” racked up over 36 million views on YouTube by November 2023, putting his name on the radar of dance music fans across Poland.

The following year, his collaboration on the cover “Ostatni raz zatańczysz ze mną” became a radio hit, and its video surpassed 100 million views, cementing his reputation as a rising force in the European EDM scene.

Early Life and Education

Tribbs was born on January 25, 1996, in Ursynów, Warsaw. He spent his youth immersed in both athletics and martial arts, training in volleyball through middle school and practicing MMA for about a year as a teenager.

Musically, he dabbled in violin, guitar, and bass lessons before deciding to focus entirely on music production. He began studies in composition and arrangement in Katowice, followed by sound design at the Warsaw Film School, though he did not complete either program.

Personal Life

Tribbs keeps his personal life largely private but publicly celebrated his marriage in July 2024 to Żaneta Płudowska, his long‑term partner. Żaneta is a model, dance school director, and former Vice‑Miss Polonia (2012).

Career

Tribbs began performing as a session bassist in Warsaw at age 14; over the next three years, he continued session work while training in volleyball. Around 2016, he pivoted entirely to music production.

In 2017, he co‑founded Linia Nocna with Monika “Mimi” Wydrzyńska. Their debut album, Znikam na chwilę (2018), was Fryderyk‑nominated, and their second, Szepty i dropy, was released in 2020.

From 2021 onward, Tribbs released high-profile covers and singles—most notably “Bal wszystkich świętych” and “Ostatni raz zatańczysz ze mną”—accumulating over 36 million and 100 million YouTube views, respectively.

He’s contributed to Eurovision entries for Czechia (2019), Spain (2020), Austria (2021), Poland (2022, 2023), and Switzerland (2023). He’s also arranged for artists like Alan Walker, Becky Hill, Viki Gabor, Smolasty, Alok, and Duncan Laurence.

His remix of “Close Your Eyes” (with Stephen Puth and Lucas Estrada), along with official remixes for Alan Walker and Rudimental & Ella Henderson, marked early 2024, continuing his international trajectory.
