Terry G Breaks Silence On Alleged Theft Of ‘Pass Me Your Love’ From AY.Com
Nigerian music star Terry G has refuted longstanding allegations that he stole the popular track Pass Me Your Love from fellow artist and collaborator, AY.Com.
While many fans initially believed Terry G owned the song, it later emerged that he was actually featured on the track, not the main artist.
The misunderstanding led to accusations that Terry G had taken undue credit for the hit by repeatedly performing it at various events without properly acknowledging AY.Com.
Responding to the issue on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Terry G labeled the accusations as “pure ignorance.”
He went further to suggest that the backlash and confusion over the track’s ownership may have played a role in derailing AY.Com’s music career.
Terry G wrote: “To those saying I stole ‘Pass Me Your Love’ from Ay.com that’s pure ignorance. So I don’t have the right to perform a song I collaborated on? Your favourite artists do it all the time, but when it’s me, it becomes a problem. Hypocrisy at its finest.
“And no, I didn’t put the song on my album it was never about ownership, it was about collaboration.
“Some of you ruined AY’s moment with your noise, not me. As for my shine, nobody can block it. You no reach.”
