May Edochie’s Lawyer Reacts To Threats Against Iyabo Ojo Amid Mohbad And Baba Ijesha Saga
Emeka Ugwuonye, the legal representative handling May Edochie’s case, has offered his perspective on the recent challenges faced by Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
Ojo recently suffered the loss of her office to a fire incident, shortly followed by the circulation of a threatening letter she allegedly received. Adding to the tension, a prophecy video from Bright the Seer concerning Ojo and her family has gone viral, prompting public calls for celebrities to take such spiritual warnings more seriously.
Reacting to the situation, Ugwuonye disclosed that someone had privately reached out to him about Ojo’s plight, although he chose not to reveal the individual’s identity. The person claimed that Ojo’s current troubles are connected to her outspoken efforts to expose the truth behind the suspicious death of singer Mohbad, which many believe involved foul play.
Ugwuonye also noted that the backlash and online attacks Ojo has endured are likely linked to her past involvement in seeking justice for actor Baba Ijesha, who was convicted for sexually abusing a minor. He emphasized that Ojo’s stand against injustice has made her a target of online hostility.
He warned that punishing individuals for doing the right thing sends a troubling message and could discourage others from speaking up or demanding justice in similar situations.
Additionally, Ugwuonye mentioned that, according to his source, a protest was allegedly being planned against the actress. However, he clarified that unless Ojo personally seeks his legal assistance, he won’t be able to intervene. He explained that his professional experience has taught him that offering help without a client’s direct involvement often leads to complications.
Known for his unwavering support of May Edochie in her legal matters, Ugwuonye has also commented on issues involving Yinka, the former partner of Linc Edochie, further highlighting his active role in defending clients navigating public and legal scrutiny.
