Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has left fans surprised after revealing he’s never actually been on a proper vacation.

During a recent interview that took a more personal turn, the music icon admitted he’s never unplugged from work long enough to enjoy a true getaway.

“You just keep moving,” the interviewer observed. Burna Boy responded, “I have to.”

When asked what downtime looks like for him, Burna shrugged and replied, “I don’t know. I’ve never been on a vacation.”

The host, visibly surprised, joked, “I want to see your toes, bro not in a weird way, but you know…”

Burna laughed and replied, “My toes are nice, you know.”

Though many fans might assume the artist has enjoyed lavish breaks around the world, Burna clarified that his idea of rest is simply being home.

“Only in Lagos, when I’m home,” he said.

He did mention a visit to Jamaica but explained that it didn’t feel like a vacation.

“I went to Jamaica once. But that’s home to me too so I can’t really count that.”

For Burna Boy, rest isn’t about tropical beaches it’s about being grounded and at home.
