Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known as TBoss, has called on the Nigerian government to adopt chemical castration as a form of punishment for rapists and pedophiles.

The reality TV star made the statement while reacting to reports that the Italian government, under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, is moving toward legalizing chemical castration as a measure for dealing with violent sexual offenders.

According to TBoss, such individuals deserve no less. Referring to the proposed legislation in Italy, she shared a post about it and wrote: “Agreed. Nigeria should be next.”

Italy’s parliament had earlier approved the setup of a special committee tasked with drafting laws to allow the use of androgen-blocking medication in punishing sex offenders.

TBoss’s reaction has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians weighing in on whether such a law could or should be implemented locally.
