2face Idibia Opens Up on Rift with Blackface
Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about his long-standing issues with former bandmate Blackface.
In a recent interview with media personality Nedu, 2Baba expressed his frustration over the constant backlash he receives from Blackface, despite always maintaining a respectful stance toward him. The music icon described many of Blackface’s allegations as unreasonable and hurtful.
Reflecting on their past collaborations, the “African Queen” crooner also revealed that he was responsible for writing the majority of the hit song, which has remained a defining piece of his career.
Despite the repeated attacks, 2Baba admitted he still doesn’t understand the motive behind Blackface’s continued grievances, but he’s choosing to rise above the negativity.
“It was a collaboration. I wrote most of the song, actually, but we wrote it together.
I’m not somebody who comes and starts dragging words. I don’t know what his intentions were, and I don’t know what I have ever done to him.
