A robbery attempt in Dorayi Babba area of Unguwar Jakada ended in tragedy as the suspect, identified as Musa Nuhu, died from injuries sustained during a failed attack on a home.

According to a short Facebook post by the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa the suspect had stormed a house, armed with a knife, with the intention to rob the occupants.

“During the incident, he inflicted injuries on two women in the house. But one man confronted the attacker, after a serious tussle they both sustained varying injuries” the post partly reads.

Kiyawa also revealed that the suspect was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but later died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
