The Students' Union Government SUG of the Bayero University, Kano wishes to inform all 100 Level students of the university that some rooms were bagged in and some phone were stolen from one of your hostels early this morning. This unfortunate incident occurred because the room was left open.

We sincerely sympathize with the student(s) whose phone(s) were stolen. We understand how upsetting and frustrating it is to lose something so valuable. Please accept our deepest sympathies, and we hope you recover quickly from this loss.

Going forward, we are urging everyone to take security more seriously. No student should leave their room doors open under any circumstance.

Whenever you are stepping out:

Make sure the door is properly locked – either from inside if someone is staying behind, or from outside if the room will be empty.

If others are still sleeping, wake someone up to inform them, so they can lock the door after you.
