The Rosa Luxembourg Foundation is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the 2024 DAAD Rosa Luxembourg Scholarship. The fully funded Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung Scholarship offers an annual grant of €16,800 to cover living and research expenses, including health benefits.

Eligibility: To be considered for the Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung Scholarship 2025, you must satisfy the following criteria:

• enrolment at a state or state-recognised higher education institution in Germany

• supervision by a university lecturer in Germany

• very good graduate degree

• social engagement in line with the values of the Rosa Luxembourg Foundation

• proficiency in German at a B2 level at least (proof required).

Benefits: 

• The Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung Scholarship Department awards grants to foreign students (Master only) and PhD students who are temporarily residing in Germany for study or research purposes.

• Doctoral candidates receive a grant of 1,450 EUR each month plus a mobility allowance of 100 EUR and, if necessary, health care subsidies.

• 2 years with the option to extend the period twice for 6 months for academic or technical reasons, and up to another year due to illness, disability or parental leave.
