Ugandan socialite and reality TV star Zari Hassan has spoken out following the recent wedding of her ex-partner, Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, to singer Zuchu.

As earlier reported by Legit.ng, Diamond Platnumz born Naseeb Abdul Juma officially tied the knot with Zuchu in a low-key ceremony held in June 2025. The announcement generated buzz online, with many curious to hear how Zari, the mother of two of Diamond’s children, would respond.

Speaking in an interview with Ayo TV, Zari extended her best wishes to the newlyweds. She acknowledged their shared responsibilities as co-parents and expressed hope for continued peace in their relationship for the sake of their children.

Zari also took a moment to recognize Zuchu’s strength and perseverance. She described Zuchu as a “resilient and strong woman” and joked that she deserves a “Girlfriend of the Year” award for enduring challenges that others might not have managed.

Concluding her remarks, Zari encouraged Diamond Platnumz to now treat Zuchu with the respect and care she deserves as his wife. She pointed out that, as a father, even Diamond wouldn’t want his own daughter to be treated poorly by a man.

That girl is strong, we couldn’t do it, look at Zuchu, she’s standing. I’m so proud of her, I hope Naseeb treats her better now, because she’s a wife now instead of just a girlfriend. Let him change, it would be really nice, that girl is putting up with a lot of things from Naseeb. I am a mother, I wouldn’t want to see my daughter…Naseeb, you wouldn’t want to see that happening to Lateefah, so please change.”
