Popular Nigerian comedian Nasboi has expressed frustration over an unsettling encounter with a police officer who allegedly asked for a money transfer via a betting account.

Sharing the experience on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Nasboi revealed he was stopped by the police during a routine check. When he informed them that he didn’t have any cash on him, one of the officers reportedly asked him to transfer money directly to a SportyBet account.

Nasboi’s post has sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians criticizing the inappropriate behavior and calling for accountability within the police force.

He wrote:

I no get cash to give you, you say make I transfer to your sporty.”
