Funke Akindele Receives Grand Welcome In Tanzania For Priscilla Ojo’s Wedding Finale

Nollywood star Funke Akindele has arrived in Tanzania to attend the grand finale of Priscilla Ojo’s wedding celebration.

The actress was seen departing Nigeria alongside fellow actress Jaiye Kuti, with videos and photos of their journey making rounds online. Upon landing in Tanzania, the pair received a heartfelt welcome that included a bouquet of roses and traditional mufflers inscribed with “Tanzania” draped around their necks.

Their host, Iyabo Ojo, joked that the Tanzanians had promised to “show them pepper”—a playful expression meaning they would be treated to a lively and unforgettable experience. Jaiye Kuti humorously responded that they had brought along their own “rodo” (Scotch bonnet pepper) to reciprocate the energy.

In one of the clips, Funke Akindele delighted fans with her cheerful dance moves as she was greeted by traditional dancers. Her vibrant energy and enthusiasm were widely praised, with fans calling her the life of the party.

Among those who welcomed the Nigerian guests were Juma Jux’s sisters, who placed flowered scarves over their shoulders in a gesture of hospitality.

Akindele’s attendance at the Tanzanian leg of the wedding drew attention, especially since she was noticeably absent from the Nigerian ceremony. Her absence had previously sparked discussions about her tendency to skip social events involving her industry peers.
