What does Yelena Belova’s costume look like in the Thunderbolts* concept art?
On Instagram, Marvel illustrator Ji Hye Lee shared some concept art showing Pugh’s character in a different outfit than the one she wears in the movie.
“Design variants for #Yelena for the #Thunderbolts aka the New Avengers,” the post reads. “These options were so fun to come up with! Which one is your favorite? I was honored to work with so many amazing artists under the supervision of @andyparkart. “Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes—Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?”
Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier, while the screenplay comes from Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo, based on a story by Pearson. Kevin Feige produces the movie, while Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, and Jason Tamez serve as executive producers. So far, the film has made approximately $330 million at the global box office.
