The Last of Us Season 2 Finale Accidentally Released Early, User Claims

A Reddit user claimed in a now-deleted post on the platform that The Last of Us Season 2 finale has been released early. The second season has seven episodes in total, with the final episode slated to air on May 25, 2025. However, according to the Reddit user, they’d watched the episode several days before its intended release date. They even shared alleged proof to support their claim.

The Last of Us Season 2 finale has reportedly been released several days before its intended premiere date on May 25, according to a Reddit user. In a post that has since been deleted, the user claimed their Apple TV+ Season Pass made the episode available early. They watched the episode and apparently shared significant spoilers from it (via Dexerto).

Even if these reports are true, the viewers can no longer watch the finale and have to wait until May 25. This isn’t the first time an HBO high-profile project has failed to prevent an early release of a season finale.

Game of Thrones aired on HBO between April 17, 2011, and May 19, 2019, and during this period, Several of its episodes were reportedly leaked before their release date. House of the Dragon, a spin-off of Game of Thrones, reportedly encountered a similar issue.

However, as mentioned above, the episodes came out prematurely back then because there was a leak. But the issue with The Last of Us Season 2 finale seems to be quite different.
