Eric Kripke teases multiple deaths in The Boys Season 5, new poster shows Homelander
Showcased at the Prime Experience event, the latest poster for The Boys Season 5 highlights Antony Starr’s Homelander standing at the entrance of the White House, while looking back menacingly at the camera.
Shared on X (formerly Twitter) by several media outlets such as Culture Base, this is the first official promo art for the ultimate installment in The Boys series.
Check out the poster below:
The conclusion of The Boys Season 4 saw Homelander concocting a sinister plan with Susan Heyward’s Sister Sage that allows the all-powerful Supe to take control over the Oval Office in all but name. As such, the new poster for The Boys Season 5 suggests that the forthcoming installment will pick up right where its predecessor left off.
In addition to the aforementioned poster, fans also got to hear some remarks regarding The Boys Season 5, straight from the show’s creator, Eric Kripke. While speaking with the Deadline Studio at the Prime Experience event, he noted, “There will probably be lots of deaths. There’s no guarantee of who’s gonna survive.”
Notably, in the comics, the final moments of The Boys see every major character, apart from Hughie Campbell and Starlight, lose their lives, with Billy Butcher going berserk and murdering every superhero, including his teammates.
While the Prime series has deviated severely from its source material, one aspect that the show has kept consistent with the pages is the excessive amount of killings, every now and then. With Kripke confirming that he intends to continue this theme in Season 5, fans should expect a lot of gore in The Boys’ upcoming final installment.
